Company Overview
SPBL is a producer of forestry and agricultural products from company-owned land located in Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand. The forests are predominantly Radiata pine, with substantial areas of Douglas fir mainly in the Canterbury foothills. Land converted from forest plantations on the plains to farmland is being farmed by SPBL. The Te Oka Bay Farm and Flagpole Farm and Forestry properties were sold recently.

Currently, the company's forest products are sold on the domestic and international timber markets. The company produces mill logs (including export logs), chip logs, firewood logs, post and poles. SPBL's plantation forests have the potential to provide a sustainable supply of logs for processing at around 150,000 cubic metres annually.
